Suwon Hwaseong Fortress

A UNESCO World Heritage site, Hwaseong Haenggung (locally called, meaning temporary palace) is King Jongjo’s tribute to his father who died in a rice box.

It has similar structure to Seoul’s grand palaces. It’s smaller in scale and relatively more quite and more compact.

I think it os best for people who want a pictorial wearing a hanbok since there aren’t a lot of people.

Fun fact: this palace is also the filming location of the Korean drama Dae Jang Geum.
